Photoshoot :)

So yesterday I got involved with a photoshoot my friend Hollie organised for her website to sell her vintage clothing that she makes! There were 2 models and I did the make-up for both, both used gold and browns but one was a lot darker and had a more defined socket line to complement the style of the model and also her hair and skin colour. I also included a shocking pink lip and a bold purple on them and tried out my contouring techniques also.
Overall I was really happy with the photoshoot and had fun and just cant wait to see the final images now! :D

Also ... As i am 21 in Novemeber (Proper adult soon, bore!) my mum bought me a new sewing machine and an overlocker so that I can start making clothes again, as I havent really made much in the last year but really want to get back into it! Sooooo, my mum is letting me have both now :) so I can get designing, buying fabric and making things! My boyfriends mum also brought me some African material over from Nigeria so can start making things with that :)

My shop The Beauty Spot is going very well, we are getting repeat customers already and people are telling their friends about us so getting more customers that way too.

First day ...

So today has been the first day that I have been in the shop on my own, gone quite well actually and had quite a few enquires about our nails and the make-up deals we do so looks like things will go well :D also had a few girls from where I work pop in as well and were so impressed with the shop, just cant wait to get more of our stock now, most excited for our uncut soap loaves! the best flavour? ... rhubard and custard! how amazing?! :D totally cant wait to smell it when it gets here!

Ive also been working on lots of ideas and advertising that can get the word out about our shop to get more people to come in, got lots of supermarket style offers that are such bargains!

also as we are doing nail art and soon to be doing acrylic nails, I had the idea of painting nail art onto false nails as some people dont like/want/can afford acrylic nails, so want to do some yukiumi style nails to sell! got soo many ideas atm just dont know what to do with them, just gotta make them all work :D

Sorry its been a while

I have not posted anything in over a year! omg so sorry, didnt actually realise it had been that long, so my blogspot and youtube seem to get abandoned! whoops :( anyway, over this past year i have been SUPER busy ... ive been finishing my 2nd year at university and should hopefully be continuing into the third year (had trouble with my application so might not get a place this year, boo!) ive also been working at my current job as well even though it is a huuuge bore to me, ive also been busy just generally with family, friends and my boyfriend. but the biggest thing atm is that ive been busy opening my own shop!! eeeek, im soo happy, me and my sister had been talking about opening one for sooo long but just didnt know how, but then recently the opportunity came about so we obviously took it! so its called the beauty spot (simple but effective i think) and we are doing nail art on nails, and soon to be doing acrylic ones, also fancy make-up and selling lots of different products. the interior is amaaaazing! bright pink with a zebra print feature wall, love it! anyway, thats it for now but i will try to post more often with generally chat and news! :D x

Uni :)

Well, i havent posted anything in quite a while as i have been very busy with all my uni assignments and any spare time has been spent doing other things so my blog and youtube has been kind of neglected, whoops!

So, this is just a little blog to show you some of the more interesting things i have been doing at uni =]

Within the first few weeks of starting uni, we were told to pick a theme and make a face chart on it and then would apply it on someone in a future lesson, my theme was sunsets.

This is a flesh wound using cotton wool, latex and greasepaints.

A flesh burn using toilet paper (classy haha!), latex and greasepaints.

Entry bullet hole using wax, greasepaints, wound filler and blood.

Gouged out eye using tissue paper, greasepaint and blood.

For part of our assignment we had to use some of the effects to create a whole piece based on any kind of "war victim" injuries. (LOL at my mums facial expression!!)

Busy!

Im so not good with keeping up to my blog and youtube atm, had lots of uni work to get started on so they've kinda been neglected. Gonna try keep up to them now! =]

I painted this for my mums boyfriends tattoo studio as he wanted his shop name in grafitti writing, so i did this for him. It says Ink'd Up.

Hmm

I havent posted in a while, iv been really busy getting all sorted for the start of uni, which I started properly tomorrow!! eeek :) I still need to get quite a few things but i will sort those out soon. Student finance is pissing me off aswell, it is owned by the DEVIL!

I have also been in perfect health the whooooooole summer, and when it comes the time to start uni, i get a very bad cold! So i have been miserable all this week haha.

So, atm im in the middle of making a mood board to present to everyone on my course at uni to get to know each other a little better, im struggling with what pics to put on it, but i know its gonna have a load of glitter all over it! (Y)

Well theres not much else to say really, good summer, now just to get started with uni ... exciting stuff!! :D

Im So Excited!!!!!

So on Sunday, me and some friends are going to Party In The Park which is held at Temple Newsome in Leeds and I CANNOT WAIT!!!!!!!!! It will be such a fun day out, and the line up for the event keeps getting better and better!! The main people I am wanting to see there are N-Dubz, Tinchy Stryder, Dizzee Rascal, JLS and Ironik :)

Im sure it will be sooooo much better than last year, as the music wasnt really my taste, and I also got VERY bad sunburn and i lost my phone aswell :( ... but I can just tell Im gonna enjoy this years event loads more!! eeeeeeee :)))))
